
Bollywood veteran actor and director Satish Kaushik passed away on Wednesday, leaving a void in the Indian film industry. The actor-director was seen at Javed Akhtar and Shabana Azmi’s Holi party in Mumbai, where he was his usual cheerful self, spreading joy amongst others. Since the news of his sudden demise, celebrities have been expressing their condolences on social media.
Anupam Kher, who had been friends with Satish for 45 years, shared his grief in a tweet, “Such a sudden full stop on a friendship of 45 years!! Life will NEVER be the same without you SATISH! Om Shanti!” Kangana Ranaut, who had worked with Satish Kaushik in the movie ‘Emergency’, tweeted that he was her biggest cheerleader and that she loved directing him. She added that Satish would be missed, and offered her condolences to his family.
Sonu Sood, who met Satish Kaushik when he first came to Mumbai, said that Satish was the first director he met, who was warm and humble. He added that Satish had given him a few lessons of life that would always stay with him. Madhur Bhandarkar and Abhishek Bachchan also expressed their shock and sadness at the loss of Satish Kaushik.
Raja Sen, an acclaimed screenwriter, summed up Satish Kaushik’s life in a beautiful tribute, saying that he wrote, directed, and tickled audiences unforgettably. Satish had left behind a legacy that would always be cherished, he added.
