The romcom Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar is having a good run at the box office, with steady collections throughout the weekdays. On Monday and Tuesday, the film collected 6.05 crores and 6.02 crores respectively. On Wednesday, the movie earned 5.70 crores*, which is a decent number for the genre.
Directed by Luv Ranjan, the film has been drawing good footfalls and has now collected 88.01 crores* in eight days. Today, the film will cross the 90 crores mark, and with 5 more crores expected to come in, the film will comfortably reach 93 crores at the end of its extended nine-day week, resulting in an average of over 10 crores per day.
Although Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar should have entered the 100 Crore Club in the first seven days itself, these are different times post-pandemic, and hence the film’s performance is being appreciated. The movie has done a decent job for both Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor. While Ranbir has further cemented his place as a bonafide star after Brahmastra and now this film, Shraddha Kapoor’s three-year-long break since Baaghi 3 doesn’t seem to have affected her positioning as a top young star in the industry.
